I have to say that I’m sad that no one is discussing the bareback / body image topics, but I’m probably the only one who is really interested in things like that. I think it’s funny how people view bareback porn. Zilla was talking about how sick and disgusting it was, but then how hot 70’s porn is in one of his last podcasts. I think gay men on some level believe that it was okay then because now they’ve all been punished and they are dead. The same goes for the superinfection “stories”. It’s as if we have to shove the gay man into a good assimilated quasi-heterosexual box. Enough already! As for the body image talk, I agree in some ways. I also was hit by an interview I read of John Waters where he said that bears were just silly. He said that gay men had to sexualize things that were decidedly not sexy, and the bear movement was a cop-out for sex. I like that you refer to the bodies as commodities. I believe that as well. Now I’m dying to know who that porn star was. Can’t wait for your toy show. And it better be interesting. No tinkle toys or the like. I don’t think that kids think of HIV as a manageable disease. The funny thing is that kids are all about getting married and monogamous, but then they act out in irresponsible ways (at least from what I’ve read and seen). An embrace of sexuality would lead to more responsibility in my opinion. Honestly, I’d be certain almost everyone in TIM videos is HIV+.
